"If I had a world of my own everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?" (Alice, who lives in Wonderland)

I walked around the pond . . . actually tonight I walked around the island in the pond, in the park, a couple blocks from my place. Dunkin' Donuts is a block from my place. It breaks up the trip to the park.
Anyway, Bear's pond is pristine! Unlike the park pond which is blanketed, shore to shore, with some kind of bright green alge you see on stagnant ponds in the woods sometimes. Its not really slimmy but if you put your hand into it, when you pull it out it would be coated with the stuff. When fish are snapping up bugs near the shore as darkness falls, they make these starry night swirls that stay on the surface long enough to make you wonder if on another pond, at another place, in another time, Vincent was perhaps inspired.
